Colorado Christian Home
Sunday, August 8th, we will have our monthly service for the children at Colorado Christian Home from 3:30pm – 6:00pm. CCH is located at the corner of 29th and Tennyson. Call Dona @ 720-299-2044 if you have any questions.
Baptism/Bar-be-que
On Sunday, August 15th, directly following service, we will have a baptism along with a BBQ/Potluck.
Baptism: If you are interested in being baptized, please sign up at the Information Table. You must be at least 8 years old to be baptized.
Potluck: Please bring a dish to share (enough for 15 people). The meat will be furnished by Legacy.
Usher Ministry
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Psalm 84:10). This is the scripture that often comes to mind when thinking of the Ushers Ministry, but God has made us much more than that. As ushers, we have the awesome privilege of meeting and greeting the body of Christ as they enter into worship. We are blessed as we serve as doorkeepers. God uses us to minister to the hurting though prayer, a kind word or simply even just a warm smile. As we serve as doorkeepers, set up before service, seat people, serve communion and close the church building, we see the power of God. It is only with a surrendered heart and God’s grace that we are able to serve and see the power of God change lives. Back to School Outreach
On Saturday, August 14th: URBAN Ministries will hold their back pack outreach for the inner city kids. Please look over your bulletin insert and pray about where you could serve; fill it out and put it in an offering box. This is a huge event and we will need many volunteers. We would also like to have $20.00 donations (or more if you can); this will take care of all the needs for one child for the day. This includes sharing Jesus with them, lunch, a back pack and more. Thank you in advance for serving and showing the love of Christ through God’s ministry.
On Saturday, August 7th: URBAN Ministries will get together at the ministry house, 3411 Milwaukee St., Denver, to pack the backpacks. Please call Aimee if you would like to participate @ 303-807-5157
Upcoming Events
African Children’s Choir: more information will be added soon. We will need host homes, transportation and 1 night of dinner. Please pray about hosting.
Operation Christmas Child: We will only go 1 evening this year, on a Thursday in December; more information to follow.
